8th   Tinpanic (concert) This 12-piece steel drum orchestra brings audiences to their feet with high-energy calypso rhythms and a big band sound. 10th  Monica Bill Barnes & Company (dance) Monica Bill Barnes makes intelligent, quirky dances with a lot of heart. Barnes presents the Maine premiere of “Another Parade” -- a go for broke, all out dance event that packs a punch while straddling the awkward and debonair. 11th  12th Annual Chief Worumbo Androscoggin River Race This canoe and kayak race begins in Durham and ends at the Lisbon Boat Launch (Route 196). An amateur, family-friendly race/competition of 6 miles, with possible class I rips and easy class II rapids, allows people to experience this undeveloped shoreline of the Androscoggin River. Pre-registration by July 2nd (includes race t-shirt and lunch). Registration is 9 AM, race begins at 11 AM. Beginning at Durham Boat Launch, Route 136 - 9 AM; $$.  Contact Androscoggin Land Trust

13th  The Inspired Garden (lecture/workshop), with Author Judy Paolini. Down East Books’ beautiful titles about gardening in New England have been very popular at Auburn Public Library. The author of their latest gardening book will give an illustrated presentation. The book is the product of five years of research and features the private gardens of visual artists from around New England. Prepare to be inspired! This is a Brown Bag Lunch Workshop; bring a bagged lunch if you like (or order out at the Library Cafe!), and we’ll supply drinks and dessert.
