L/A Arts at McMahon Elementary School

Portland’s poet laureate, Martin Steingesser will be working with 4th grade students at McMahon Elementary – April 3, 7, 17, May 8, and 15.  Steingesser’s residencies focus on paying attention to senses and details.  Valuable literary techniques such as repetition/variation, simile, metaphor, and color are taught.  Students will be writing and evaluating their own work all under the tutelage of this exemplary poet.
