About
Jolene Juneau
I am an interdisciplinary artist of watercolor, oil and
acrylics. Each painting I do pays attention to detail. The scenic
paintings reflect a kinder, gentler time or place which will exist
forever in ones heart or memory.
Each painting takes about 4 months to
complete depending on the size. My canvases are usually 16x20 to 22x28.
I paint by commission at a reasonable and affordable rate and will paint
any one of your favorite portrait or scene. I have had a few pieces of
my work at exhibits in the last couple of years. (L/A college and L/A
ed) (the ocean wave). I also got a winning photo which I didnt include
my photos or watercolors in this exhibit.
Artists have blossomed in my
family through generations. My love of painting started early; in high
school, I took oil painting classes from an established French painter
from Paris. After painting only for a few years, I didnt return to oil
painting until many years later, after the loss of my mother a few years
ago, which awakened in me a return to painting. The seed of my art was
always there but it took that loss to let go and it brought the creative
energy I had in me out. It brought me out of myself. I was able to
embrace the beauty and goodness that I see in life, that was and is
still part of my life. Good memories are precious reservoirs of hope and
new challenges can enhance the joy and happiness that God gives to each
and everyone of us each day.
